Our Care

We provide high-quality services for people who have complex needs associated with mental illness, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, dementia and other long term conditions. We want to empower the individual to express their own choices, take positive risks and support them to achieve their life goals, lifestyle and maintain their relationships with family, friends and the communities from where they come.

Types of Care

Our home is split into units for specialist residential and nursing care. We offer long term chronic or palliative care with a high level of nursing expertise. We also have a unit to provide care and support to people who may have suffered traumatic or acquired brain injury, neuro- degenerative diseases or conditions,  cognitive impairment and social exclusion.

Activities & Lifestyle

We encourage individuals at the Home to fulfil their potential and lead active lives as part of the community.

We have a dedicated Activities Coordinator who ensures that individuals can participate in activities tailored to them daily, as part of a group or as an individual.

Aside from the daily programme, we have weekly events from external groups, e.g. singers. The ethos of the Home is that every moment has the potential for a resident to be stimulated and engaged in fulfilling their social needs.

Nutrition

Our aim is to provide delicious, nutritionally balanced meals for all our residents therefore, all our meals are freshly prepared with menus designed around the diets and personal preferences of our residents.

Reviews

Nursing Care

At The Mulberry Community, we have established an excellent reputation for our nursing care facilities.

We have a dedicated team of highly qualified care staff who are on hand 24 hours a day to provide personal care and support. We recognise that the levels of nursing care will be different for each of our residents and we tailor the care we provide to the individual needs of each and every one of our residents.

We provide a high standard of nursing care at all times and always treat our residents with dignity and respect. Family and friends will always be made welcome, and are encouraged to visit, whether to stay for a meal or just spend time together.

Dementia Care

Dementia is a condition that affects many people in the UK today and sometimes the behaviours and associated symptoms can be difficult to understand. Our staff are trained to understand people with Dementia and be able to provide the appropriate care for them.

We are able to care for people with Dementia in each of our homes, however which home is best will differ from person to person and would be subject to an initial assessment.

Our care homes are all Dementia friendly environments and we are able to provide specialist care to people who require nursing care and who may also have Dementia.

In each of the homes, we have a highly experienced staff team of Registered Nurses and Care Assistants who are all trained to care for people with Dementia.
